Mr. Janahi is a well-known, acclaimed name in the global/regional Islamic and conventional banking industry. Mr. Janahi holds a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Management (Hons.) from the University of Petroleum and Minerals, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Hull University , United Kingdom .
He is one of the founders of Gulf Finance House (Established in 1999), and is instrumental in the spectacular growth of this institution, which is now a leading provider of Islamic banking services and products. Mr. Janahi continues to play a dynamic role in the Islamic banking industry.
An expert on Islamic economics as well as on the Middle East economy, Mr. Janahi is a regular speaker at global and regional economic forums. He was named the `Islamic Banker of the Year' in 2003 at the World Islamic Banking Conference in Bahrain . Mr. Janahi has also been awarded the `Young CEO of the Year,' for 2005 by Dubai-based knowledge service provider, Datamatix. He was also awarded by the Prime Minister of Bahrain in February 2005 for contributing to Excellence in the region. Mr. Janahi was voted `The Top CEO
in the GCC' by the Arabian Business Magazine and has been awarded by the International Real Estate Finance Middle East and Euromoney with the `Outstanding Contribution to Finance' award. Mr. Janahi is also a member of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Bahrain .
